Brett Piercy is a Senior Planning Analyst at EDR Group. Ms. Piercy's work focuses on economic development strategy, job creation potential of major infrastructure projects, socioeconomic impact for EIS filings, and fiscal impact analysis.

In the area of fiscal impact, Ms. Piercy has estimated the impacts of residential, retail and mixed use developments as well as airports and military bases. She has evaluated the economic development potential of proposed projects in Portland, Oregon, La Porte, Indiana, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the Corridor K region of eastern TN/western NC, among others. She has completed comprehensive economic base studies of communities and regions across the country including San Diego, California, Chula Vista, California, Northwest Louisiana, and St. Louis, Missouri. She has also analyzed the feasibility of a wide range of development proposals including a performing arts center in Arizona, a proposed international trade mart in the Caribbean and a family entertainment center in central Mexico.

Prior to joining EDR Group, Ms Piercy worked at Economics Research Associates as an Associate, gathering and analyzing data to write economic base analyses, affordable housing studies, fiscal and economic impact studies, and other planning aids for public, private, and non-profit sector clients. She has also held positions as a Science Policy Intern at the National Academy of Sciences and Community Development Intern with New Economics for Women in Los Angeles.

Ms Piercy holds a Master's degree in policy analysis from the University of California, San Diego and a BA in Political Science from California State University, Fresno.
