Daniel Brod leads DecisionTek and is a consultant affiliated with EDR Group, based in the Washington, DC area. Mr. Brod has more than 20 years experience as a senior economist, transportation policy analyst and software applications developer. He has led research and consulting assignments in benefit-cost analysis, economic and fiscal impact analysis, regulatory analysis, transportation economics, environmental economics, finance and market analyses.

Through extensive experience assessing the impacts of port and trade economies throughout the US, Latin America and Africa, he has become a recognized expert in strategic risk assessment and economic analysis of investment risk effects on regional economics and trade, infrastructure investment and operations. He has provided analytic support for assessing the impacts of competitive issues in international shipping. He has also investigated the effects of congestion management systems as they apply to surface transportation and the consequences of these measures on public transit.

Mr. Brod is one of the nation's premiere practitioners of benefit cost analysis, and has been instrumental in preparing guidance documents and methodological guidelines on this subject for both US and Canadian transportation agencies. He earned a master's degree in economics from Tel Aviv University and a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
